After Stay Classy (the Will Ferrell character theme bar) went on the road to pop up all over the country, the former space on Rivington street was left empty. Mike Galkovich approached Zach Neil about possibly working together on a bar project. Zach had already been working on a 1980s themed bar for NYC and decided if Mike could manage the space while Zach traveled with his other bar pop ups that he would be able to keep the space on Rivington. Mike having previous experience managing bars decided to sign on and run the day to day operations. They brought in the very talented singer/actress and master mixologist Gia Farrell to create the custom 1980s themed drink menu and then spent the next four months working with some of the best known and most talented street artists and designers in NYC to create a true and authentic 1980s art space that really will take you back in time! They redecorated and reimagined the space completely covering every inch in murals, street art, and memorabilia all paying homage to the best of the 1980s. From Prince to Bowie to Madonna and movie nods as well. A soft opening is scheduled for Friday march 24th (open to the public) with a grand opening sometime in May 2017.
